Writing one’s own script

  1. Most renowned painters write their own script as far as their life is concerned. No matter how hard it gets, they stick to their plan and live life accordingly.
  2. Subhas Bose had stood first in ICS 0065amination, and could have become the top bureaucrat under the British Rule enjoying all perks and privileges. However, he wrote his own script and decided to be a freedom fighter.

Magic wand

  1. He was a brilliant doctor who could diagnose and successfully treat even the rarest of rare diseases. People felt he had a magic wand that he used to do such supernatural things.
  2. If you want to be rich, you need to work very hard and might need some luck. There can be no magic wand to make a person rich.

Business as usual ..

  1. On the day, our old principal retired after a stint of thirty years in school, we all felt the school can’t function without him. However, it was business as usual the next morning with classes resuming in full strength.
  2. After the prolonged shut-down due to Covid -19, some hotels have reopened, but it is not business as usual as customers shy away from coming.

Red letter day ..

  1. August 15, 1947 was a red letter day in India’s history.
  2. The day I got my first job was a red letter day in my life.
