I, Sunitra Raghavan, work as a Software Development Engineer in your company. The name of my manager is K. V. Gurupada Rao. I interact with him for around 4 to 5 times each day since my work necessitates the same. It pains and disgusts me to inform you that, for over a month now, Rao has been sexually harassing me relentlessly. He often invites me to accompany him for picnic, orders me to sit with him for lunch, and asks me very personal and private questions regarding my health. I often receive WhatsApp messages from him at odd hours of the night and the contents are some nasty reels from YouTube. I have maintained as much proof as possible about such nasty overtures aimed at me. My proofs include copies of his messages, audio recordings of his suggestive persuasions, and one or two of his emails that are threatening in tone while having nothing to do with office work.
I have decided to seek legal remedies to stop such misconduct, and, thereby, safeguard my dignity in the workplace. I will soon approach the Internal Complaints Committee to lodge my grievance. Before I do so, I felt it necessary to bring the matter to your view.
Hope you will do everything possible to restrain Gurupada Rao from engaging in such behaviour with his women colleagues.
